Blue truck

Just wanted to add a bit of abstraction to this evening scene. I looked to emphasize the sunrays and their illumination of certain areas on the ground, a well as the truck. Mostly used Topaz Studio 2 and some Curves and Levels layer adjustments. Enjoy!

Of course, me being me, I would do a horizontal flip so that it reads that the truck is going toward the mountains rather than backing away as tho in fear.

We read from left to right. Advertising research-based "... research shows that when the horizontal position of product images is matched with consumersโ€™ temporal focus (i.e., left-past, right-future), products facing toward a congruent (vs. incongruent) direction with the position will receive more favorable evaluations. This research further shows that the effect of facing direction is stronger than the horizontal position effect. "

The big positive is the negative. What? Negative space balanced with the blue bulk of the truck and mountains above it. discussed in this section:

Only thing is I wouldn't characterize it as an evening scene.

I never would have thought of that, but I tried it and it gives the image a totally different perspective - thanks so much for the input!

Interesting, isn't it, perspective? Personally I prefer the original as (to me) it does look like it's going forward into the mountains. Second rendition looks like a downhill advance and slightly cautious.

I like the original. The eye enters from the left where the mountains are closer and as you move to the right the mountains fade away. More pleasing than the direction of the truck.

The lighting is very appealing. I love the blue truck and the landscape is beautiful.
