The Better Half insists that I mow the yards, however, I'm putting it off as long as possible until she forces me to sleep in the outdoor dog house. I try to reason with her that the wildflowers are blooming and how pretty the yard looks with the dots of white, yellow, violet, and magentas. Then I used the old, "The blossoms are important to the bee population" and I even tried to convenience her that some of the wildflowers may be on the endangered species list and it would be a crime to molest them.
Of course, her point of view is that it is a yard...not a hayfield, and I should stop procrastinating before the weeds get so tall that I'll need a chainsaw to cut them.
Oh well, at least I tried.
Thanks, Kpmac. I staged the focus stack session using the Laowa 65mm 1X-2X Sumper Macro lens which filled the frame with the blossom.

Thanks, Luvmypets, for stopping by.
Tell you wife that I agree with you. We should let the native plants flourish. Of course if your wife and I ever meet face to face, you're on your own
Beautiful picture though. Reminds me of one of my first shots with my macro lens of a small white daisy like flower about the size of the fingernail on my pinky.

Thanks, JimmyTB. In the world of logic, there is OUR logic and there is THEIR logic. Just about the time that I have a trump card in my hand, her Ace beats my duce. Frankly, I have a feeling that she stacks the deck in her favor!
Beautiful burst of light and color.
How beautiful, daisy style flowers never fail to please.

Thanks, Dpullum. I try not to pass up an opportunity that appears to be calling out to me. I picked one of the blossoms off of the wildflower (weed to the Better Half) and brought it in for a focus stacking session using the 65mm macro lens dialed in to fill the frame with the blossom.
Thanks, Elliott. I have acquired a curiosity for insects, however, I have always been attracted to the beauty and colors of the wildflowers and it provides an opportunity to express my artistic side rather than my "frightening horror show" side.

Thanks, Brenda. I'm a flower guy at heart. I know absolutely nothing about them, I just have an appreciation for their beauty.
WOW!!! Now that is a beautiful and sharp photograph. Well done.
