Took a "swamp tour"Saw some gators, lots of bald cypress with spanish moss and quite a few birds, most of which were to far away to get a picture of with my point and shoot. I did get this though. The trees behind the Egret are Tupelo Gum. They emit a chemical into the water that keeps the mosquitos away, so the whole time I was out, no bugs. Best part of the tour not having to slap mosquitos

Love your swamp image, and except for the Spanish moss and Gators could have been taken from our backyard. We live alongside a little tidal river in
eastern Virginia, the Chickahominy, which also has many Cypress and also a few Tupelo gum trees. Fortunately, an ancient Tupelo stands on the water edge alongside our backyard. Take care!
