I've gotten into infrared photography. I'm not sure if these belong in this group, but they do require a lot of manipulation and plug-ins. Let me know if I can continue to post them here. Thanks

I love the first one, very beautiful image. It is something extraordinary and one of a kind.

Fran, you infrared photos are an excellent contribution to the DA forum! These are lovely.

Carol, thanks so much for the compliment. I was hoping to find a home better suited to IR shots

Don, thank you for your input. Kudos to you for doing a DIY conversion. I think I would have gone through 10 cameras before I got it right

Realy ! 10 !!, what do you think of me? Only 3 failures and two successes... that is only 5. What happened to the one i took so much trouble finding a glass of the correct thickness to replace the hot mirror??

The one I use now had a hot mirror so thin that I just removed it. The filters are small 37mm and so low cost. Filters are held in place by epoxy a 23-37mm converter with the 23 threads removed with a rotary diamond saw.

White correction is important but not absolutly necessary. A white card works well.

Don, I don't realize how incompetent I am. I can chance a switch and new light fixture, but that is the xtent of my electric-anything! It's best for me to leave my gear alone!

Both images are absolutely lovely! The dynamic impact is illusory and spellbinding. A real treat for the eyes.
