I need to install Creative Cloud first then in CC you have LR and PS and other Adobe editing Apps. It just wouldn't let Creative Cloud install without Rosetta. Yes I have LR and PS installed. One other thing I have all my pics on a 2TB SSD. So when inserted the SSD into my new MacBook i have all my photos show up by dates but my collections are missing on the MacBook Pro, but on the iMac my whole catalogue and collections show up when I plug the ssd into my iMac.
Sounds like you're not pointing the same LR Classic software to the same LRCAT file with the same folder structure. I've repeated the investigation actions above, already. When you perform those actions, what can you identify?

Interesting.
I got a new MacBook Pro for Christmas. As a Windows user for 40 years I didn't know anything about Apple beyond trying to help my wife with hers. So I just installed LR/PS along with a number of other apps. Had no problems doing so, and have had no problems using them. I heard Rosetta mentioned but never did anything about it and I don't know just what it does. Just looked in my apps and don't see Rosetta there, so it doesn't seem to be installed in my MacBook Pro.
However, if it worked for you, great. As long as it's working, don't fix it.

Just looked up Rosetta. The website
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211861 tells me it is needed when you want to open an app built for Intel. You don't need it if the app is built for Apple silicon. If you go to Finder and right-click on the app, then choose "get info" it will tell you if you need to use Rosetta. Apps that need Rosetta are marked as Application (Intel) and apps that don't need Rosetta are marked Application (Universal).
I looked at my copy of LrC and it's labelled Application (Universal), as is Photoshop.
I looked for Rosetta in the list of applications and didn't see it. However, the website says it works in the background and you don't have to explicitly call it. So it may not be something that you can open and use. It gets used if it's needed. So it may not show up in the list of applications.
I bought a new MacBook Pro M1 which shouldn’t be Intel. It should be Apple silicon chip.

So is mine. But it's not the M1 that is important it's that the app is built for Intel instead of Apple silicon. It sounds like you got the wrong app somehow.
Enjoy the M1. I enjoy mine, although I do have some issues moving from Windows (mostly issues with me). Both systems do what I want them to do but it's really nice having the long battery life on the MacBook M1.
Thank you all for replying. It helped me a lot.
We have been in Croatia and Bosnia since April 14th and automatic updates are causing issues on our Mac. About a week ago the Outlook update on our MacBook Pro stopped working on last the Microsoft update. Microsoft is pushing their ISO products which seem to not work well for me and others.
Light room update is now not not functioning. Light room classic is working. I think the Mac updated last night and so far no issues. I always worry if an update for any software will cause an Issue the Mac.
I do not seem to have as many issues on the non apple desktop.
