The Blitz Camera, from Singapore. Came across this company last night and was floored by their prices.
Any chance, someone here has either purchased from or successfully contacted Blitz Camera? I was unsuccessful in my attempt to contact them. Is this simply a scam and truely TGTBT?
Not with a ten foot pole......
What kind of prices do you get? I saw prices higher than in the USA.

I wouldn't deal with them via email, phone or 10 ft pole. But I would visit their store in person. I don't know about Blitz but most of them too good to be true always refuse to meet me in person.

It's funny, probably a scam, but somebody went to an ENORMOUS amount of effort to put together a website that appears so ligit. There's a Blitz camera in the States, this one is in Singapore.

With all the website creating software available it's relatively easy to create one.

Like almost 12K USD for an A1 body!
AND… even if they say the prices are in Dollars, you have to ask what kind of Dollars! When I was in Hong Kong, things were quoted in Dollars, but it was Hong Kong Dollars, not US Dollars. Five of their Dollars to 1 of ours, back then.

Recently bought a bargain price-quality Expresso Maker... A month after the forcasted delivery date, I asked for delivery tracking. No, reply. Waited two weeks... then I contacted PayPal and after presenting documentation Paypal refunded my money.
So, markj, if Blitz takes Paypal, feel safe. Also, before ordering, go to Google and inter Blitz Camera Scam and see if there are scam reports.
It's a secure website, and prices are in Singapore dollars....trading at .73 to a US buck.
Prices seem...normal.

If you can't contact them, maybe those low prices aren't real.
To me, Blitz Camera sounds like almost a knock off of the Ritz Camera Stores. Like 42nd St.
Photo sounds a little to close to 47th St. Photo which was legit. E Caveat Emptor!.

Will you have to pay import fees that are not included in the listed price?

I just looked at that site and am not sure what you're seeing.
The prices there seem very high to me. They are probably stated in Singaporean dollars (SGD), but even after converting to US $ (USD) the prices still seemed quite high.
For example,
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lens...
- Blitz price............ $2362
- Converted to US... $1725
- B&H Photo price... $1299
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV (body only)....
- Blitz price............ $4544
- Converted to US... $3317
- B&H Photo price... $2699
There are many other examples.
