Sounds, to me, that MORE of these morons need access to “Gunz”!
It's a FAUX news article. Who knows if it's really true or not.

It's from FOX News, how can it be FAUX?

Gee, I dunno. I just thought it was funny. Sorry (but not very) if you were offended.

Several TV stations, newspapers etc. (including UK papers) and a police on line site all verify it. The incident was captured on a surveillance camera.
And though not common things like that have happened before though the wound is usually the upper thigh or even the foot.
I***t tried to jam his handgun inside his pants with
his finger on the trigger.
One of the things emphasized in firearms safety courses is to keep your finger off the trigger unless ready to shoot and most especially don't have your finger on the trigger while putting the gun back in the holster. And they say never carry a gun just tucked in your waist band - use an inside the waistband holster that anchors on the belt.
Besides possibly shooting yourself while putting a gun in your waistband with finger on the trigger the non use of a holster can result in the gun slipping down inside your pants into the crotch area or down your pant's leg etc.

I suspect that the average thug has fewer hours of firearms safety training than he does in conversational English and considers holsters a needless expense.
I wear my holster in the small of my back. I can better afford afford to shoot out a chunk of my ample ass than anything that might be h*****g out in front.
Thanks for the validation, my friend.

With practice you can draw from the middle of the back with either hand. But is is uncomfortable as hell to sit and lean back in most chairs and car seats.
True or not its 5 years old
Unless I am going just a few blocks, I unclip the belt loops and remove the whole rig into the car's door compartment, replace it when getting out. I use a nylon inside the pants holster. Visiting friends or places where firearms are prohibited, I sometimes leave the weapon locked in the car.
Interestingly, (is that a word?) our state legislature has recently repealed the state law requiring a permit for concealed carry which becomes effective Jan 1, 2023. I have a permit, which won't lapse until mid next year, so won't affect my habits except to make me more watchful as more people who don't know squat about guns get loaded up to go out with weapons ready to right wrongs and defend maidens and silliness like that.

And that makes what difference? Surely you are over five years old. Does that make you inconsequential?

I found multiple references to guys shooting off their own penis (at least 7 that had enough info to be sure they weren't duplicate reports). These are going back to 2011 and as recently as 2020(at least 3 that year). So the guy in the posted video is not the only member of the club.
One of the guys in 2020 pointed the gun at his own g*****ls to post it on a Face Book group of other people doing the same thing when he accidentally shoot himself. One report said that other members of the FB group proclaimed him an "Admin" for the group and some even named him their "King".

Maybe we need to encourage i***ts with guns taking themselves out of the gene pool in such dramatic fashion. If I am using an inside-the-waistband holster in the appendix area I think really clearly about what I am doing before shoving my pistol into it! But I am not generally running from the scene of a crime while doing so!
