I've got an idea. UHH could set up separate pages for each individual member. Then we could just admire our own stuff.

We already have that. It's called your own computer

Jerry you sound like my ex mother in law who I still love dearly. She is/was forever coming up with ideas for OTHERS to do. I suspect most of us have our own things we want to do. Looking through the photos of others to come up with some sort of a match sounds like the most boring thing in the world other than watching grass grow or concrete start to develop cracks.
Have a wonderful day,
Dennis
I wonder if that’s Jerry’s point. I know that I get bored sick by all the eagle, hummingbird, great horned owl, egret, ad nauseum images that are so alike as to be boring. If you get a shot of a bald eagle slicing pickles to place in tuna salad, post it. If you get a shot of a bald eagle perched in a tree or flying while clutching a fish, love it and keep it in your collection. Collect and share dynamic images, not cliches.
Gee, I have been retired for 22 years, and I still don’t have hours and hours of free time. Maybe somebody out there does, and might come up with something, but to what end? It could be interesting, tho, to see the degree of similarity in such photos, but I think it might be a job for some AI robot.
Hi Jerry
Thanks for suggestion. My photos are in such disorder that this idea may help me add a little direction and bring some fun to an organization chore.
I've waited a bit before responding to the OP wanting to see where it went. I believe that most of us are predictable as to what we post, it is what interests us most and what gives us the most pride in our results. When I see certain names I immediately expect to see certain genres of work. Especially for birds near duplicates happen because the photographer has perches near feeders to give the subjects a spot to "pose". This produces many similar photos. When I see these I look for an expression from the bird that the photographer was trying to capture. Most of us have favorite locations and subjects at these locations creating multiple images of say a tree or geological site, again similar images, but with different lighting or sky conditions. when similars show up I choose to view them further or go on.
There is a small number of poster that do post identical submissions, often of birds on feeders, pets, or lake scenes. I know if I started counting I would easily run out of fingers and probably toes counting the time a boat with a fishing rod pointing into the lake has shown up. Sometimes 2-3 times on the same board within 10 minutes.

Hmmn... I've got an aviation website with photos of thousands of different types of airplanes. Need help finding 50 of the most interesting ones for a slideshow presentation I've been asked to do. Anyone volunteer? If so, I'll send you the link.
Gee, I don't know. Most planes seem to look the same.

I was going to do other posts along the same lines, but considering the negative replies I got, I decided against it.

I hope my reply wasn't negative, I liked your post; a good idea!

No, not at all, but I know what you mean. I'll make what I think as an innocent comment, and someone takes it as an insult.

People are fickle, Jerry!

This is a photography forum, not a spelling bee.
