Why are those things called "plungers"? In actuality they work best as a suction device to pull back the obstruction and allow it to re-form into a smaller object. Thus permitting better passage of the unwanted material.

The "Plumber's Helper" union objected to it being called a plumber's helper. People kept getting the two confused.

Hate to be a wet blanket, but those plungers are not the correct ones for the toilet- the correct ones have a little extension at the bottom to fit into the toilet hole.

The black one in the corner should have - you just can't see it, as it isn't extended. --- Also, the others will work, under the right conditions.
