Don
Don, these photos were taken at feeders, not flowers. Hummers will feed all day long at artificial feeders as long as the nectar is fresh and NOT dyed red. The feeders are relatively inexpensive and are very effective in attracting birds. My west wall is mostly glass and has many feeders attached. Ruby throated hummers are busy here all day long. Rain slows their progress but they have voracious appetites and need to feed just to exist. We celebrate three holidays in summer time, May 9 is when the hummers arrive, July 4th is a birthday celebration, and the birds depart on Sept 15. Our weather varies greatly, but our holidays, are etched in stone.
Nice sharp images. Great set.
