Thanks

If you go to the Adobe website there is a wealth of info about Lightroom and plenty of "how two" videos also

I agree with the George Jardine suggestion. For $24.95 his series of videos on the develop module are superb.

"Adobe Lightroom 4 - the Missing FAQ" by Victoria Bampton is a very useful book. It does what its tile suggests.
Equally I endorse the comments regarding the Martin Evening book. Both authored by Brits!
I have Scott Kelby's book and recommend it. Suggest you go to Google and Adobe to find a video that will cover just about any question you have. Lightroom is terrific and there are so many videos one could spend a lifetime wahtching all of them.
I'd suggest Lynda.com, full of great video tutorials. They do a great job with LR4, and only $25 per month for unlimited use.

I highly recommend Jardine and Kloskowski.
I need a step by step book. The videos are great but contain a lot steps you have to remember. Kelby and Adobe classroom in a book work best for me.
I recently found a book called "Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4" by Stephen Laskevitch. I have both these programs and this book has been VERY helpful in describing how best to use them together. I can recommend it highly. Here is his website where he gives instruction and tutorials:

Check out laurashoe.com for both free and paid video tutorials and a good blog site too.

I agree about the video series by George Jardine. I find myself referring to it fairly often. It is broke down into a number of individule videos,18 in total. Each one is broke down to cover individule topics such as detail or lens effects. He goes step by step and the videos are easy to follow.
