Several images here of a Vulture feeding on probably the biggest Bass I've ever seen. This is the one that got away from all those fishermen on the lake - and probably a record fish for this lake. For an idea of just how big this fish was - a vulture has a wing span of around 5' and they are one of the bigger birds around. We have several nesting Osprey eagles on the lake and that may have been the original cause of death of this fish but there is no way an osprey would haver have been able to fly away with this monster. Also - how often do you get this close to a feeding Vulture?
Several other birds on the lake this day including Grebes, Cormorants, Coot's and Canadian Geese (One on the nest) to name a few. All and all a good day for an overcast day. BTW I was using a flash and a "Better Beamer" for this shoot.

You lucky photographer! Those are beautiful frames...I like the vultur in the pict showing the enorm fisch in its full size...and I like also the goose while laying down in its nest: she seems to be really quiet and serene

HI Daniel, I also live in San Diego, and I'm curious as to what part you live in. If you don’t mind saying, (obviously without your address, and credit card information), lol, where do you kayak,
