used cholla cacti Alumilite Clear slow purple alumidust with some 3-4 drops of red dye after turning used Red Artisan Premium Coloring Dye and finished with 6 coats of lacquer
settings were 1sec f9 ( should have looked cause usually I use f8) 200 iso 85mm camera is a Nikon DF tripod used

I like to turn wood as well, although my stuff is bigger like 5inch diameter table legs. Have never tried turning pens. Great job on both turning and photoing.
