What an excellent thing you are doing for these animals, especially getting them fixed! Last fall, our Mackerel(we didn't have a clowder) finally got comfortable one night after feeding. The wife picked her up and she fell asleep in our sons lap! She's well adjusted to the other two rescues as house cats. They make for very loving pets once they choose to give up the wild life!!
Great shot of Ms. Daisey as it looks like the update is spot on!

Thanks! We have several that are quite comfortable in the house, but, they go in and out on their terms, not ours. Except one that we named Lucky. He was just a few weeks old when his mother abandoned him. Hours away from dying when we realized what was going on. He could literally fit in a teacup. With the help of the Vet we nursed him back to health and he is now the biggest hell raiser of them all. Since he has never lived outdoors or had a mother teach him the ropes we keep him in the house. He can find more ways to get into trouble but he is a great cat. Well worth the effort.

Thank You for the suggestion but we already have two traps. The problem is that we usually need to catch specific cat/cats and almost always we end up with a previously spayed/neutered cat in the trap. We feed the cats twice a day and even feral cats will become so engrossed in eating that we can catch one then. The rest instantly scatter and then for the next few days won't let anyone near them. Many won't anyway. They each have their own personality. Some we can pet and others won't let us get within ten feet of them. We have several that are happy to become house cats during the winter months but during warm weather stay out in the woods and only come around to eat.

Your reply made me smile! After 28 years of catching feral cats, lots of patience and grit determination as you know is needed, keep up the good work.
