It's been a while since I shared photos of this pretty face, so here are a few to make you smile. For those who don't know me or Leaf, she is an indoor cat who goes out into the yard with a harness and leash; otherwise there wouldn't be a bird left alive. It's a big event for Leaf to venture out with her humans in tow.

These were taken with my new-to-me phone, a replacement for the best phone I ever had, which I drowned. I am still in mourning but am determined to get by.

Leaf is a pretty feline. Good pics too.
My adopted cat is leash only too. He yells when I grab the leash and harness, and when I don’t.
He’s 100% deaf, so sign language and leash.
(The neighbors dog killed my last cat after he slipped out. The screen didn’t latch behind me while I was BBQing.)

Pretty kitty! She has a nice fluffy ruff. I’ve had cats all my life. I’ve tried a couple of times to acclimate a cat to a leash and harness. A startled cat on a leash is like a tornado with claws on a leash!

I agree. It may have had something to do with the light that evening, but I'm sure it was mostly my inexpertise with the new phone's camera.

I'm sorry about your cat's violent ending; that's a hard way to lose one. So many people think a cat MUST have free access to the outside world, and I used to be of that mindset, but not any more. Engaging with an indoor cat and allowing it safe outdoor time is really what it needs.

Yes, she has all that down! And even with the leash, which we allow her to drag behind her (it's long and can easily be stepped on if she pulls any stunts), Leaf must be closely watched. She is one fast, accurate girl.
