It's on its way. We're going to get hammered. Mayor Bloomberg just closed all the schools and subways and ordered an evacuation of portions of NYC. This thing is huge!
Watch out up there, you guys! I hope it's not going to be too hard on you. Good luck!
take necessary precaution and keep us informed

Hey Doc ..... ain't this the same guy that took away the large soda's and fries .....
If the 5am update is correct with landfall just a little south of Atlantic City my place will get clobbered. I'm inland about 30 miles in a forest filled with projectiles. We've done our best to prepare. Last to do is charge camera batteries and install rain shields on the Nikons.
Here in TN we are praying for you all, that you are safe and that there is little damage. We will have Dissaster Relief Trucks on the way if needed. Hunker down in a safe place and keep everyone informed, you will do a much better job than the media.
The North East and north west coasts of Australia get hammered every summer with violent destructive cyclones but most places these days are built to withstand the onslaught. But we have had some terrible storms which have been disastrous.
According to one of my info maps Sandy is projected to cross South of New York. I wonder if this will be the case and if so it will be good for NY but not for those who are in its path.

Stay safe! Just know there are a lot of people headed your way to help out with getting power back up and providing any other help they can. A lot of crews in NC are in the Outer Banks area and will head your way as soon as they can.
I'm sure all UHH members wish all those people in the path of this storm all the very best and hope that you come out of it safe and in one piece. We will be thinking of you.
I am just glad I am not in NYC now, but had a very enjoyable few days there in July this year.
I'm I Brooklyn, NY the prediction it a direct hit between Atlantic City and Cape May NJ. Those in NJ have had more than their share of flooding in the past and my prayers go out for their safety. Hope all on the East Coast stay safe. This thing is massive.
Ca has crews already on their way. They will move in as soon as possible to help out
