This is QED with Photoshop all by itself.

What is QED?

PS - It would help readers understand context if you used "quote reply" when replying to another post.

Gwcole, It can be easy or very tedious depending on several things, one being background. The example given with the birds, the background is simple and the wires are out of focus. That is easy. Wires in focus against a complex background, not so easy.

Of course, you are more comprehensive and right in what you say. I was replying in regards to the simple background. If you do mostly simple backgrounds one needn't spend $70 on a plug-in. PaintShop Pro has a background removal tool that I've used to remove both wires and traffic lights.

Maybe to you, but for most QED means this:

Q.E.D. or QED is an initialism of the Latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum, meaning "which was to be demonstrated". Literally it states "what was to be shown". Traditionally, the abbreviation is placed at the end of mathematical proofs and philosophical arguments in print publications, to indicate that the proof or the argument is complete.

Exactly.

When I was taking math courses in college back in the 1970s, we also came up with what we felt was an appropriate English transliteration..."Queerly Ended Derivation."

As someone who has spent hours removing wires from my images I was blown away when Tony Sweet demonstrated how Luminar Neo can make wires disappear in a recent workshop in Charleston. Was not totally perfect but 95% of the wires were gone. Very little work to make the 5% go away. I immediately bought the plugin for $79. Wish this had been around years ago. Hate pesky wires.

Not exactly the same, but removing wires is a lot like removing a fence.
