Always interesting to see structures like this one. They give a strong sense of an earlier time. They also raise questions. For example, who lived there, and why did they abandon this livable home?

I ain't got no cigarettes, ah but two hours of pushin' broom buys a 8x12 4-bit room. I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road!

Great Picture.
If that house were on my property, I'd put a new roof, coat of paint, gut the inside and put my wood shop in there.
I'd have to be 40 or so years younger though, but thanks for the dream...

One of the more prevalent reasons fit under one title. Economy. Unless it was a truck farm, it was hard to stay when there was a loss of source of funds. Another is that the grandkids moved into the city for work, still holding onto the old property with the hopes of selling for a large sum. And there are several other reasons that fall under Economy.

In today’s real estate market, I’d say that’s a $300k fixer upper.

Oh for sure Mike. You've seen this I'm sure. It's just behind the Big Texan on the right side of Zac Lentz Pky
