Y’all excuse me for being proud of NC basketball, but I think tonight’s UNC-Duke game was some damn good basketball, and here’s wishing the UNC Tarheels bring our 14th NCAA title home to NC Monday night.

I didn’t have a horse in the race so the outcome didn’t matter. I just wanted a great game and it sure was.

UNC has 14 NCAA titles...don't think so!! UCLA has the most with 11 NCAA titles.

Perhaps you misinterpreted what I said. If UNC wins this year, that would 14 titles for North Carolina (the state) - UNC 6, Duke 5, and NC State 2 so far. At the moment, California has won the most (15), with North Carolina second (13).

I did misunderstand...thanks for pointing out and really enjoyed both games yesterday. Kansas is gonna be tough for UNC!!

Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies have won 11 NCAA Championships. I'm hoping today's championship game makes it 12. Of course I know that's women's NCAA.
I watch both men's & women's NCAA tournaments. Yesterday's game between Duke & North Carolina was a fantastic game - one of the best. Thanks North Carolina basketball!
I'll be rooting for NC on Monday. I was rooting for Duke and Coach K.

That was the best game I've seen in a long time, and I was routing for them to beat Duke. Monday they are going to beat Kansas.

I felt sorry for Coach K, but glad that we have an NC team in the Final Four. I have friends who went to both Duke and Carolina, and so do my twins.
NC has some great basketball history with all the schools on "Tobacco Road." (That's I-40 for those of you who aren't familiar with our state. Tobacco used to be the top export, back when we were little kids. It's hardly squalid, as dictionaries suggest.)

I’m an NC State Alum (and my son is a 3rd generation NCSU graduate as well). It’s been a long time since we won a championship - I graduated in 74 (the military delayed my education a bit) when we won our first championship beating UCLA and John Wooden (who beat us the year before in the finals) - wish we would get competitive nationally again. That year’s annual last page said: “1974 NCAA Champions - Go to hell Carolina” so there are a lot of old rivalries between NC State, UNC and Duke. Gonna be hard for me to root for UNC, but I’ll grit my teeth and bear it for the sake of our state.
