Marvelous series, David...always amazed that they spared no finances in constructing these gems; especially when you see churches in storefronts these days.
Thanks so much for coming, and the nice compliment! Yes, those cathedrals were labors of devotion.

Enjoyed these a lot. The pipe organ is very impressive. Never been to Berlin, so thanks for this post.
Hi, again! Nice to see you. I'm pleased you enjoyed the Set. Yes, some of those organs are really large and impressive. That one was built in 1905 and has 7269 pipes, and was the largest in Germany at the time.

What a joy to visit these beautiful old European cathedrals. The massive organ is wonderful as are the cathedral interior photos.

Yep. I make an effort to enter as many churches as possible on all my trips/tours. Unfortunately, on "canned" tours there is usually not a lot of time for doing that--they may include the most famous churches/cathedrals in the itinerary, but that leaves a lot of worthy places untouched. Once in a while I'll visit a worship house and find the Organist rehearsing. And in rare occasions the itinerary actually included an Organ concert. (My tour this September is supposed to include an Organ concert in the Mormon Tabernacle--I'm excited!)

In 2015, as part of a concert tour of the Brookhaven College (Dallas, Texas) chorus I visited Berlin, Germany. I posted a Set of photos of the city (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-734328-1.html) but thought a Set devoted to just the Berlin Dom would be appropriate.
