This old farmhouse ...
... has survived another brutal Canadian prairie winter. Although there is a small hole in the roof, it still seems to be standing fairly strong.

That's beautiful. Love the character of the old buildings as they weather over the years.
If someone would plug that hole, it could be saved. Nice.

Nice photo. Looks like it could have been shot just around the corner from here, not half a continent away.
How are your puppies doing?

Nice picture of a beautiful old house! Certainly worth to be saved and maintened. This photo conveys a strange feeling: mix of sadnes and hope. I love it

Somebody should save it. They don't build 'em like they used to.
Nice shot. Well done. Conveys the mood and the atmosphere without being overbearing.

Thank you, Johnny. I love the character of these old places as well.

The owner actually called me to go take photos of this old place. He grew up in that house as a child. Said he just wanted the memories and the actual physical structure didn't mean much to him. Quite surprising. And walking around in the house, there was no question it could be saved. The fellow I talked with was in his late 50s, and I think he was more interested in inheriting the land rather than the structures on it.

Thanks, rmorrison. I go all over shooting these places and sometime I wonder if I had seen a particular home/farm/building etc. before, yet knowing I had not.
The puppies turned 11years old at the end of January. They are mature adults but still playful as ever. I wish I had that much energy!
How are your Cotons doing?
Thanks for the 2 thumbs, nimbushopper.
