Recent posts have referred to this printer being out of stock and Canon having no idea when new stock would arrive. The same in US and Europe. Having yesterday ordered the Pro 300, at extra cost, email received today from Canon to say Pro 200 now available. Can't say that US will be same as Europe, but may be a positive sign.

Which Canon was out of stock? Canon USA and Canon Europe are two separate companies doing business totally separate. Which Canon's inventory do you cite?

I was quoting Canon Europe but presumably all stock deliveries come from Canon Japan, who must now have had some stock. Just suggesting that interested parties keep an eye on their local Canon websites over the next week or two. Last time Europe got stock it was sold within hours, such was the pent up demand.

Those printers may have been on a ship making its way to Europe for a few weeks. It is a longer trip than across the Pacific to the US/Canada. Canon USA's store is still out of stock.
Canon Canada lists the Pro-200/300/1000 all as out of stock.
