Acorn Woodpeckers

Acorn Woodpeckers are often referred to as clowns. They are very loud and boisterous .
They live in large groups, and love to hoard acorns.

I was surprised that 2 of them shared a feeder for awhile before squawking and one flew off.

Cool, you got images of them in the open at a freeder. I am not good at bird photography. I get partial images of woodpeckers hidden in live oak trees.

Well done, jd. I've seen them in Oregon, but never at feeders. They store amazing numbers of acorns in holes that they create in trees. And defend them with vigor!
