The Bushnell Farm, in Old Saybrook, CT, dates back to 1678. Very well kept and rarely open to the public (privately owned). I was driving by a couple of days ago and the gate was open. I drove in and the owner, who lives on an adjacent property, was walking his dog. He made a beeline toward me and I thought he was going to tell me to leave, but when he saw the camera his demeanor seamed to change and he welcomed me to go anywhere on the farm to take photos. Unfortunately, the buildings were closed, but it was still a good photo op.

Some great good fortune there, thus proving the old saw about nothing ventured, nothing gained. You took a chance on getting a 'no' and were rewarded with something more than a little bit memorable. I love them all, but especially the wigwam and the tractors. One of the tractors is a Fordson which I recently learned about from another post here not long ago.

All worthy of a mounted wall display or a small coffee table book or both. The light and the subtlety of the color are exceptional.
