I recalled seeing *something* regarding a huge Russian flying boat so that's what I googled for! It actually doesn't "fly" in the airplane parlence, but skims the surface of the water in a "ground effect" manner. Here's another vid of it in action...

Data states it has a top speed of 340 mph and cruises somewhere in the 200 mph range. Also, it states the range it has is 1,200 miles, but it didn't say if it was loaded with cargo or not.

Cool! I didn't know anything about this aircraft/boat before your post. It's always fun to rummage through
my computer desk drawer for the old cardboard anaglyph glasses, thanks!
