Any of the lower price Nvidia card will most likely work fine

I read your post specifying your Computer setup.
I did ANY separate Video Processor mentioned.

If you are unsure, look at the BACK of your Computer.
If your video cable plugs into the MOBO header, you are using an INTEGRATED Video processor.

If your Video Cables plugs into a SEPERATE Card Slot Connector, you DO have an actual Video Processor.

If you DON'T, you MAY be able to install one to your current computer.
[Buy it where you can return it or have a shop install & test it if you are not confident....]

I think you may have hit the nail on the head with the AMD Radeon R7 200 series graphic card Specification,
"but I think it is just only just over 1 gig."

My aging Dell XPS 8300 I passed on to my brother had 2 GB Video Ram, and my CURRENT XPX8930 has
6 GB of VIDEO Ram [Along with 32 GB Main Memory].

Since your photography programs are Video Intensive, you should probably replace the Redeon R7 or upgrade the Ram [If possible anymore]. REMEMBER, AI and other numerically intensive programs often rely on the GPU!

Thought: Does your current machine pass the Windows 11 UPGRADE TEST? This would give you an overall idea of how much future your current rig has.

I have Windows 10
and the following
Drives
(C) Solid State Drive 166 GB
Scratch Drive (D) Solid State Drive 119 GB
Data (E) Hard Disc Drive 931 GB
System Reserved Solid State Drive

Processor
Intel9(R) Core(TM) i7
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
System Type 64 Bit Operating System

Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3

The Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 was released in 2014, and intended to support 4th and 5th gen i7, not 9th gen. BTW, the 9th Gen i7 were discontinued in 2021, and are no longer shipping or being supported.

It sounds like you are using Intel Graphics aka the IntelĀ® UHD Graphics 630 gpu that is integrated on the cpu, and sharing the 16 gb of system ram for graphics, and this could be an issue.

Performance will be lackluster and some features and functions may not even work at all.

Running with a minimally configured computer and out of date/no longer supported cpu is likely to cause you grief. You could add a modest graphics card with 2-4 gb ram and support for the current versions of Open GL and Open CL will help, as well as installing 32 gb ram (the max the motherboard will take). But I would seriously consider getting a new motherboard, current graphics card, etc to make your system a bit more future-proof.
