Expected to be announced April 4th. From NikonRumors:
"I already reported that the next new product from Nikon will be the Nikkor Z 800mm f/6.3 VR PF S lens – the official announcement is expected on or around April 4th.
I was told that the price will be significantly lower than initially anticipated because the new 800mm will be a PF lens."

Based on current production of new Z9 and 24-120 plus 100-400, we should see delivery in 2027.

I'm in the same boat, digitally, since 2007. Always Nikon, from D40 to D7100, D7200 to D500 and now my Z6 & Z7. I looked at Sony and Canon, but replacing all the glass makes it kind of expensive to switch. Plus, I like ergonomics and menus of Nikon. So I'm patiently waiting. l can live without the Z9 for a while, if I could just get the 24-120 and 100-400 that are on backorder as well.

Do not give up. I ordered my Z9 Dec 23, 2021 and received it last Friday; and I am not a NPS member.

I hear $16k; cheap for an f6.3 lens??? Will stick with my 600mm f4 and a 1.4tc. Still only f5.6 at 840mm.
