We've had her for about three weeks, she is three months old.
She looks pretty good size in the photos, but she only weighs about six pounds!
I've never really liked small dogs, but we wanted one small enough to be practical in the RV.
She is very smart and has already taught herself to fetch. And she is about 80% house broken with a lot of coaching.
She was a mess psychologically and it has taken her all the three weeks to start to recover from whatever nightmare she was living in before she came to the shelter. She was terrified of me, a little better with my wife but still really cautious around strange men.
I'm really glad that we could make a positive change in her short life! She is a great little dog, and she deserves it!!

She is a beautiful dog. I am sure she will make a great addition to your family and will respond favorably to you and your wife with much love in return.

Thank you for rescuing this nice looking pup.
All of our cats and dogs we have had were rescues.

Dogs are one of Gods greatest gifts to us. They fit with people of all ages and no matter how bad your day was you mood changes when you get home and your dog acts as though you are the greatest thing that happened to him that day. My daughter often says "Someday I hope to be half the person my dog thinks I am".

Well Done!!! Dogs is beautiful people, and so are their peeps. Small in stature but mighty big in the heart, she has the air of a true Rescue Pup. FYI, if needed you might look into a product named The Pet Corrector." It is simply an aerosol can with a special nozzle. One toot of the can and the dog is stopped doing what is incorrect immediately. Then, you make the needed adjustments in the dog's behavior and continue on a happy path to pet-hood. Pet shops (Chewy) have different sizes, the size determines the number of uses in that can. Small can has 20 uses, larger can has proportionately more. Great product for on-the-spot home-remedy problems. Bet wishes for your family and its new member. Her name is ..............................?

Thanks, Dennis. She has a way to go as far as socialization goes, but she is making great progress!

It's hard to believe that this is necessary in a "civilized" world. All of our previous dogs have been large to medium hunting dogs, pampered and well cared for.

I think we might have to get the xtra large can! Her name is Cocoa. Why a black and white dog named Cocoa, you ask? You would have to ask my wife!
