I chased this guy all over. Shortly after this photograph, he ended up on my camera!!!
Nikon D7000 at ISO 400, with 105-mm macro lens, 1/160-sec at f/20.

From the size of the pedipalps, this is a male spider.

Aiiiyiiieeee. My camera would be in distinct danger of getting itself thrown.

Nevertheless, I wanna take photos like this! My husband just told me he was going to get me a good lens with his Christmas bonus (he never could keep a secret).

heh heh, Pretender... :D Well, my 75-300 just bit the dust... I want to replace it with the better 70-300 ... and of course I want a 100-400... and a 105 macro... and a set of extension tubes... and, and, and... Poor husband will have to fork over his entire bonus!

Naaa, I won't get all those. At least, not all at once. The dear little grandkiddos must have Christmas presents, after all!

(I do still have the 18-55 kit lens)

Thanks, Pretender! Yeah, I like my kitties. I liked my dogs, too, but they have gone to the Happy Rabbit-Chasing Ground. Cats always think all quilts are being sewn especially for their benefit and pleasure. ;)
