Do not use Venmo or Zelle to transfer money! There is minimal security or way to recover a loss. Sending a money order or check opens the buyer up to the risk of loss - I was ripped off one time that way and law enforcement where I lived and where the "seller" lived were not inclined to do a thing about it, being unsure where exactly the crime occurred.
