It's been over almost two decades since I was using commercial card printing services and I'm sure things have changed. I find myself in need of custom photo greeting cards, folding (not flat), stationery stock (not photo paper), 4x6-ish size, my photo on the outside, my text (or another photo) on the inside, plain envelopes. What company do you suggest?

I find lots that have thank-you patterns, Christmas patterns, graduation patterns, etc. I want plain envelopes and my own stuff on the front and on the inside.

Thanks,
-- Art Z.

That's not quite what I want. The design part is right but they don't offer printing. I don't want to have to print and fold a couple hundred greeting cards.

Ah ha! Costco offers 4.25x5.5 folded. It's under "Your Design" not under "Cards." $20 for 25 cards with envelopes.

I have been printing my own cards for a couple decades now. I used to buy card stock (120# paper) and print on that, cut in half on my paper cutter, and fold. My current printer doesn't like card stock so I switched to cover stock (67# paper) and find it makes a good stiff card. Staples sells envelopes that fit a 4.25"x5.5" card (1/2 of 8.5"x11" folded once). I don't send a lot of cards except around Christmas so it's not a big chore. Around Christmas I try to start early, then do the folding in my Copious Free Time.

We have had Christmas cards printed at Shutterfly using our photos and they are great. You can get envelopes and customize the inside as you like.

We will use them again when needed.

I have purchased card stock from Red River paper. It is reasonably priced and they offer at least three different types, glossy, matte and one with a linen like finish. Red River also has envelopes that fit the cards.

Try McGreevy Pro Lab in Albany, NY. I have used them for note cards which they printed with my Photos on the outside front and my email address and other info on the outside rear. They folded the cards for a slight extra charge an provided envelopes. I also use them for prints that I frame and for canvas prints which I sell or use as gifts.
