I understand that most LR & PS people have moved on to the subscription model so will not have much interest in LR6, but here's a question:
Is LR6 still worth using (given that I have various other processing programs), or is it time to put it on eBay (or here) to help finance other photography-related toys?
I don't know what it would sell for but there seem to be a couple of original 'copies' available at fairly silly prices.
Food for thought:
• Do the other programs you have meet your needs?
• Do you need what is in the cloud version of LR?
• Many people do not want "old" software. They might be missing something.
Everyone is different in their needs & desires.
I have one editor from 2012; Elements 14 & 19; and Canon DPP.
What I have meets my needs.
Based on a lengthy thread on UHH I believe that the programs I have will better suit my needs, meaning LR6 isn't really necessary and if it can be sold, I'm tempted to do so.
Like you, no real need for the absolute newest software, but I do appreciate lots of RAM and fast processors;)

You don't need anyone's help with that. You make your own decisions.
Decisions should usually be based on knowledge about something but I have no experience whatever of LR6.
I haven't installed it as installing it requires activation. Once activated, I assume it is tied to me forever and therefore unsaleable.
There's an unused copy on eBay at the moment selling for about 1/2 the price of my next lens.
But in a sense you're right. I woke up this morning thinking that I haven't used it thus far, haven't missed it, so opinions about LR6 don't really matter - it can go.

How did you get it though?
I’m still using LR 6 and am very happy with it. Besides, I doubt that it would be worth much on eBay.

Just as I would never advise anyone to buy LR6 online, I would never advise anyone to sell LR6 online.
LR6 is obsolete. There is no guarantee that it would work for someone else. It is not supported and hasn't been for 5 years now.
If you have moved on to something else, trash it.
I bought it quite a long time ago, a package deal of several programs and shortly thereafter became far too busy at work to play with it.
At the time I didn't have much interest in photo processing but did very much need some of the others in the deal - Office 2016, Visio, Project etc. There was unused family will program too, but that's probably of much less interest.

Thank you! Since you haven't used it in a long time I think it's best not to use it now. Also depending how old your cameras are and if your cameras are new enough that Lr6 ACR won't support it then I think it's the deal breaker.
Good points...
Cameras are less than a couple of years old.
Thanks.

LR6 is not worth the cost of postage.
You can't "buy" LR6, nor "sell" unless you can get Adobe to transfer the license. I use LR6 on two Win10 computers and have repeatedly migrated between various desktop and laptop equipment. At the end of the software install, the software must "call home" to Adobe to validate the license. If that license / serial-number isn't in your existing purchases (Adobe profile), the software cannot be 'activated' and successfully installed / used.
You can't buy ebay software and add the license into your Adobe profile. That's why buying this Dec-2017 expired software is a waste of your money. You run the risk of fraudulent selling LR6 if you post your software with no ability to transfer the license to the person 'buying' your software.
LR6 is really only for a few legacy users like myself who have carefully downloaded and saved the final v6.14 update / install and have our license-keys properly recorded in our software purchase history at Adobe.com from a purchase made prior to Dec-2017. Additionally, Apple has disabled the old code needed to install the LR6 software onto new MAC equipment, so LR6 is now a Windows-only program.
