The Sandbox

Locals mostly, but sometimes a stray tourist stops by too, especially if they've got kids in tow. Locals bring their kids to what I'm calling 'the sandbox' so they can run up and down the face of this sand hill, conveniently situated for the edification and enjoyment of all, right alongside the highway and opposite the entrance to Arches N.P.

It's a tough place to photograph --unless you like bazillions of footprints-- and it's best after there's been some wind to smooth the sands out some. Some glancing light doesn't hurt much either, though that doesn't last long.
