Is this in Sarasota Florida by any chance? It looks like an Estate right on the water not too far from the Ringling Museum.

See if you can edit your photos and take the red eye out of the people's eyes.

As your photos keep uploading, just suggestion......try to look through your lens to "see" everything that will be in the photo before taking it. As an example, the photo of the lady in the blue dress in what looks to be a bedroom - the is a TV right behind her that looks like it is coming out of her hip.

Wow, there is a beautiful Estate in Sarasota FL that looks alot like this place. I will have to dig through my CDs of my wedding shoots and post a few for you. It almost looks like the place here in Fl could have been modeled from your place!

I think the photos on the winding staircase are neat!

It is not my intent to belittle your first stab at wedding photography but if you are asking "Is this good enough?" you already know the answer.

They are nice snap shots which could be greatly improved by learning some basic techniques not limited to the following:

Get your flash off the camera and elevated to hide the flash shadow behind the subject.

Take the people out of the sun and into the shade.

Learn how to use your flash out of doors (high speed sync) for fill flash.

Learn the basics of composition.

Learn the basics of posing...two subjects in a photo, both looking in different directions? Tree hugging?

Learn the basics of post process especially cropping. The spiral staircase photos draw my attention to the staircase and not the subject. Cropping to eliminate most of the staircase and filling the frame with the subject while using a portion of the staircase as leading lines might not be a bad idea, see below. Eliminate red eye, sharpen, etc.

Learn how to blend your flash with incandescent with a CTO or CTY gel so you match the color temperature of the ambient lighting. The flash is about 6000 K while the ambient incandescent light is about 2900 K , the subject looks washed out next to the wall sconce.

Learn how to focus your camera and how to manipulate depth of field. A number of the photos are soft/out of focus.

The photos are good enough for an "Uncle Bob" but not for a pro wedding photographer. I am sure the bride and groom will appreciate your candid photos of their special day. Good luck

I hope you weren't paid for this, Ias this is a serious subject I will give a serious opinion.

Terrible.

Leaning buildings, glasses and props.

People not looking at the camera.

Over exposed, unsharp and poorly composed.

In fact I would find it hard to say anything positive about any of the photographs here.

People will knock me for being harsh, sorry, you asked for comments.

Oh and "BUY A TRIPOD"

Turn wall lights OFF and get a decent OFF camera flash

Use flash at weddings for almost every shot where there is need for fill flash

No I have not knocked your confidence deliberately in fact i have gone out of my way not only to offer advice (as a photographer, see my site, www.jrs-photgraphy.co.uk) but also edit for your benefit some of the shots.

Eighteen, my sons are 16, 18 and 22 and into photography, my youngest helps at weddings with me.

Re read my posts and see them for the advice they offer.
