Well your great photo certainly caught mine. Yes, I was always amazed to see a tree growing straight out of a boulder with just a few cracks, nary an organic particle in sight.

Thank you srg. I'm glad you could make out the fact that the tree seems to be growing out of the rock - and not just the top of the rock but the top corner. Thanks for commenting.

Beautiful composition, processing is flawless and the background is perfect.

Thank you Jack. AuroraHDR has to take some of the credit for the processing. I usually go for a natural look but I like what it did with this one.

I really like this image and how you processed it. I would love to see the raw file (or jpeg) before processing if you would be willing to post that. The foreground lighting is outstanding! You hit the timing perfectly to get that foreground lit as you did. Well done!!!

Very usual sky. To my eye it looks like it was painted.

Thank you Revet. This is an unprocessed merge of bracketed shots (complete with contrails). Amongst other things I made good use of the Glow slider in AuroraHDR. Another tool that I like is the Microdetail/Small Detail/Large Detail section. I liked the look I got from just a few tweaks, and it was easy to avoid an overprocessed look, unlike some editing tools that have to be used with extreme caution.
