I picked up a used Laowa 25mm macro lens (2.5-5X) in perfect condition.
Camera here is Olympus EM1 MkIII. The lens is adapted to from Nikon to Olympus mount with Fotodiox adapter.
The is mounted to a Manfrotto tripod with Benro Gear Head and WeMacro auto focusing rail.
Images are stacked in Helicon Focus. 50 micron steps for 2.5X and 20 micron steps for 5X. The aperture setting on lens is f 4 but effective f number is much lower. The insects are preserved specimens.
Very clean results! Well done. If I ever get a super macro lens, that is probably the one I'd get.
Beautiful shots, wonderful lens.
Job well done..! I have a lot of respect for the Laowa lenses and the 2.5-5X is one that I have my eye on to add to my collection someday.
Photo #1 does not need Google's Deep Dreams to look horrible! Yikes!!
Nice Job! I'm just getting ready to take my Laowa out of the box. Nicky Bay added up to 104mm extension tube to increase magnification to 9.1X. He didn't say what the working distance was. The 9.1X images were reasonably sharp but had some vignetting.
