No, no problem. The over excitement is our cat batting the birds away by swatting at the bird on the other side of the window glass, but they just keep coming to the feeder regardless of the exicited cat! Thank you for your comment.

I found some Black Ducks this morning! and I think some kind of Merganser maybe, but they were a bit too distant for me to make a proper id..I shall return again tomorrow morning with my 300mm. lens and hope to find them again!

No, the birds do not seem to get excited, however: my cat is the excited one when she sees birds so close!! She gets on the window seat below the birds and bats at the glass with her paw when she sees a bird at the feeder. But that does not seem to over worry the birds as they immediately fly away and return in a moment or so!
