I haven't heard much about this printer. Any hoggers have experience with it? Is it worth $300 more than the 200?

One uses dye ink the other uses pigment ink. Both print 13" wide. In theory the dye ink will be less likely to clog when not used often. Also in theory the pigment ink print will last longer.

I bought one back in November. Its my first ever photo printer so I have no comparisons to provide. All I can say is that I really like it! So far I have only printed 4x6 and 8.5x11. The prints are amazing....

Have had one from just about when the 300 was first available. Very pleased. No complaints. Not able to answer as to any comparison.

I am having a spooler problem though. I think its a driver issue.

I'm also eyeing the 300 as it supposedly will print better B&W.

I've owned this printer for about a year now after my Pro-10 died and I have to say it is really a great printer. I particularly like what I can do with my black and whites from my old Hasselblad days.

Noticeable improvement over the Pro-10?

Although this last question was not directed to me, since I also went from the 10 to the 300 I will insert my two cents.

I don’t know that I could use the term noticeable, but my subjective evaluation is that the 300 is an improvement.

Yes, but the Pro-10 was also a terrific printer. One advantage the 300 has is that it's smaller and lighter. I didn't purchase the 1000 because it weighs 70 lbs., and I didn't feel that I needed the 17 x 22 prints. The 10 and the 300 both use pigment inks which last longer than the dye inks that the 200 uses. You can find useful information on YouTube on the printer especially with this English guy whose name I can't recall at this moment. When my 10 died, I wanted a similar printer and the 300 was it. If you decide to purchase the 300, I think you'll be very pleased. Good luck.

josquin - I think Keith Cooper of Northlight Images may be the English guy you mentioned.
