Oh, you don’t like gas prices? Good. Buy an electric car so we can hit our climate goals, rube. Also, eat cake.
Author Kylee Zempel
Americans are watching gas prices shoot up a bit higher every single day. Thanks to President Joe Biden’s g***n e****y dreams and relinquishing of U.S. energy independence since his very first day in the Oval, ordinary people are paying the price. As The Federalist reported, it’s affecting everyone — from stay-at-home moms to office commuters, to small and large business owners. Biden, however, doesn’t seem to care.

The president and his administration are bizarrely blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin for the high prices, which have been rising ever since Biden took office. Even worse, they’re suggesting the best way for you not to have to worry about the high prices at the pump is to buy an electric car.

To prevent the stress of high gas prices in the future, “The best thing we can do is reduce our dependence on f****l f**ls” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Monday.

“Loosening environmental regulations won’t lower prices,” Biden tweeted the next day. “But t***sforming our economy to run on electric vehicles, powered by clean energy, will mean that no one will have to worry about gas prices. It will mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use f****l f**ls as a weapon.”

In other words, if you can’t afford to pay $4 or $5 a gallon for gasoline, just buy a Tesla.

The fact is that while the president and corporate media point the finger at Putin, Biden is the one really using “f****l f**ls as a weapon.” The Democrats in charge don’t care that you can’t afford to leave your house if it means they can force their g***n e****y agenda. Pricing gas-powered drivers out of the market is a feature, not a bug, and they’ve been admitting it all along.

You’ll remember how after the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack, when low supply and high demand caused a gasoline price hike, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm stressed she was “all in” on achieving Biden climate goals and said with a chuckle and contempt for fuel users, “You know, if you drive an electric car, this would not be affecting you, clearly.”

It’s no slip of the tongue. This has been the consistent refrain from the administration. Oh, you don’t like the price of gas? Good. Buy an electric car so we can hit our climate goals, rube.

This isn’t just the Democrats’ way of handling the g***n e****y versus f****l f**ls debate, either. This is their posture toward all their policy goals — and all the Americans who disagree with them and might threaten to hold up their agendas.

We watched it throughout C***d. When enough Americans (many of them healthy and young) didn’t get the v*****e right away, the administration cracked down and issued federal mandates that workers must get the shot if they wanted to keep their jobs. “Oh, you’re not getting v******ted? Fine. You’re fired.”

When children were home doing schoolwork under the watchful eyes of their parents, who soon discovered g****r propaganda and d******e critical race theory in their kids’ learning materials, they took the fight to their local school boards — to the dismay of Democrats, who then branded them as d******c t*******ts. “Oh, you don’t like masks, CRT, and soft porn for your kids? Fine. We’ll sic federal law enforcement on you.”

Now they’re continuing the same attitude with their climate goals and the Americans who aren’t on board. “Oh, you won’t drive electric? Fine. We’ll drive gas prices so high you can’t go anywhere.”

It’s remarkable in light of what Biden, the media, and even Trump-deranged Republicans promised Americans this administration would be: a return of decency and decorum, an outstretched arm, and “unity,” “unity,” UNITY!”

Instead, Americans got nothing but division, derision, and coercion — and the continuing clear message from the administration and its allies that if you disagree with their policy goals, that’s fine. They’ll just make your life a living hell until you have no option but to give in to their control and comply with their demands.

But hey, no mean tweets.

Sure thing. We can all afford to pay the $45 000 to >$60 000 U$D to get ‘electrified’. What nonsense!

Get Biden et. al. to subsidize electric-vehicle purchase to something reasonable ($5 000 to $10 000) and heck, I would consider at least a HYBRID vehicle—until electric-only range is extended and the recharge times and number of available ‘stations’ are vastly increased.

I would consider producing my own Biodiesel (for ‘91 Cummins diesel) long before Paying nearly a quarter of the cost of my HOUSE for a damn car!

Last week, Elon Musk mentioned that conversion to all-EV would take years to accomplish, that conventional methods of power generation, i.e. nuclear, and natural gas would be needed, and internal combustion engines will be around far longer than anyone can imagine.

https://www.newsweek.com/elon-musk-king-electric-cars-calls-more-oil-opinion-1685654

The rabid "Greenies" are so overwrought with their crusade, that they completely ignore what the real infrastructure costs are going to be. Not one has thought of the end-to-end process, and just what the EV conversions entail. Has anyone thought of agriculture or construction? Neither of those lend themselves to tethered EV's and their relatively short power reserves.

No one has mentioned the price of conversion for folks who don't have a driveway or garage; or who park in an apartment parking lot. When the subsidies end, and folks have to pick up the full tab for charging stations, have to pay for upgrades to residential electrical service, have hundreds of feet of buried cable run, or some other critical electrical grid upgrade, the stuff is going to hit the fan.

People also ignore the fact that the power curve on EV's is far steeper than conventional-powered vehicles.

What everybody (or at least many persons) fail to consider is the rush to consider “new technology” (electric vehicles) as somehow becoming the savior-of-mankind and the planet is unrealistic.

We are supposed to believe conversion to “all-electric-t***sportation” will somehow: Miraculously—Overnight—With no pollution—At zero-cost—And without supporting infrastructure—t***sform the Nation and the World. This is completely illogical!

Unproven technology may turn out to be more harmful than the problems immediate adoption create!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In many ways, it seems introduction of and dependence upon electric vehicles may lead to even greater population concentration in cities. And may also contribute to numerous small isolated rural communities without direct interaction. This physical isolation likely would contribute to isolation, ‘tribalism’ and sectarianism—rather than cooperative effort. Toss in a bunch of religion, and we can be back to the likes of Afghani and Pakistanian tribalism!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Current generations may well be the very last to have the option to freely travel—get in a vehicle and just head-out for points unknown. Or have any reasonable chance of random movement and vacation-travel.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There may be some real problems getting food from rural farms to markets, and the idea of electrifying farm machinery has evidently not even been contemplated in a rational manner! Where are you going to hang all the required batteries on those tractors or combine-harvesters?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think one of the best options that should be considered is the conversion of rail/trains to all-electric operation via batteries or hydrogen fuel cells. They are already diesel-Electric. Conversion might be easier and more effective than attempting to electrify long-haul trucks. Movement of goods-and-services via rail might be what keeps the country unified and in one-piece! But this infrastructure is in dire need of improvement as well, and is not currently being considered for updates or improvement.

Road tax on non-existent vehicles that people cannot afford to purchase, to drive restrictive-distances with no guarantee of fast (or slow) recharge, at any reasonable price less than near-current prices for gasoline. Please explain how well THAT is going to work out?

And I see no break-through technology on the horizon that will guarantee a viable solution to the series of problems facing wide-adoption of all-electric vehicles for much (actually MOST) of the country.

Circumstances might be different in densely populated countries (like Europe or Eastern and far Western portions of North America) but in locations that have long distances between population centers (e.g. most of central and Western Canada, U.S. and Mexico) electric-only is a really poor choice. Hybrid of some sort is a much better answer.

A real problem is that we do not control and currently do not have the capability to produce lithium or any of the rare earth materials needed for required magnets. Especially with China controlling the magnet AND battery raw material supplies.
And with the ‘greenies’ blocking every attempt to become independent on rare-earth materials by opening mining operations in the U.S. We HAVE proven-reserves, but extraction is being denied or blocked on environmental grounds.

So it really does not matter if the time-frame is extended to 2055 if the political will to actually do something to take control of the situation is not addressed.

No break through cause haven't been paying attention. Lol

Non existent vehicles is it now aGain is it.

Again I reintegrate please liberate yoursel of you no thinking ability.

How long would it take daily drive 400 miles

There are many many electric vehicles on the road today averaging 400 miles on charge. That about same range distance for a gas mid size crossover also on road today

Better start saving up
