It's been pretty soggy and cold but still we have things coming up and giving us the promise of better days to come. Here are some photos from this past couple of weeks. The first was just taken on the iPhone ... the rest on the camera. We had a late winter snow/ice storm that brought down all manner of limbs and even trees ... unusual for us here. I'd ventured out in the wee hours to whack snow off the fruit trees but we still lost some big branches. That first shot with the phone was of the wood my husband cut up for the kids to use in their fireplace... all from storm casualties. There are several species of trees represented and I thought the textures and colors were pretty in the trailer.

The rest are late winter flowers... witch hazel, snowdrops, hellebores, crocus and narcissus. I'm excited for a new growing season! <3

Really nice. Wish I could take such good shots at that low angle. Really like the first shot.

Thank you! If the screen didn't articulate, I'd have a terrible time trying to get those! (I still have to get on my haunches ... ground is a bit wet for sitting!)

Thank you! Nothing earth shattering like some of the amazing photos people post here, but I thought some might enjoy the beginnings of spring as much as I do. :-)

Thanks! I love spring too! It's kind of a toss-up between spring and fall for my favorite... but spring is the more sweet for having to go through some bleakness before its arrival.
