For those of you that have never been, Mt Dora is a very Artsy place. There is a entire house there that is painted like Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry nice painting. Originally the home owner had only painted a stone wall fronting the street. He later found out that there was a city ordinance that stated the wall has to match the same color as the house. The city ordered him to paint over the wall. Instead of doing that, the man just painted his entire house to match his wall. The homeowner was fined $10,000 for violating the ordinance. They later won a legal battle with the city and now the art remains! IPhone 13 Pro Max

One of the reasons they painted their house like "Starry Night" is that their autistic son likes that painting very much. If he gets lost he can tell people that he "lives in the Van Gogh house" and they can point the way home or even take him home. Thankfully they do not have an HOA - since HOA's do not tend to have either a sense of humor or an appreciation of art!

How cool is that! I wouldn’t paint my house up like that, but I like what he did, especially since he apparently did it for an autistic son. I’m glad he prevailed over the city.
