Here's a small plug-in for lightroom that will allow you to add notes about a photo.
This is a no frills program. Things like why I shot it, what equipment did I use, what can I do to make this a better photo next time. The possibilities are endless.
www.beardsworth.co.uk {main website}
http://lightroomsolutions.com {Lightroom website}
My computer setup: Windows 10 64 bit with Lightroom Classic ver 11.2 & ACR 14.2
My apologies to the MAC people. I know very little about MACs and there is a MAC version, I think.
Download BigNote from:
http://www.beardsworth.co.uk/lightroom/big-note/Unzip the file. A folder called "BeardyBigNote.lrplugin" will be created. This folder contains all the files needed.
Copy this folder to: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic
Start Lightroom
Open the Plug-in Manager File>Plug-in Manager...
make sure that "John's Big Note" installed. fig 1.
In Lightroom Library Module Scroll to the Metadata area
Open the Metadata Set and select Big note Left side fig 2
Metadate should look like right side of fig 2
Only problem I've found is you have to manually switch back & forth from Big note to your nomal mode using the Metadata set pull down.
My virus program warned me about downloading from this site. I by-passed the warning and found no problems with this site. I've used it for a month and no ill effects.
If you have problems PM me, the response will be faster. I will help the best I can. The author's website claims, no support, help or manual. It's really easy to use.
Hope this helps
Very useful plug-in. It produces a busier display, but selecting the EXIF plus IPTC option will show Big Note at the bottom.
