Mist on Lake Windermere in Cumbria, UK.
Good pics - glad you shared.
That mistiness is beautiful. Nicely done, Sylvia.
Fabulous set, Sylvia. Talk about making lemonade when life gives you lemons, the mist images are beautiful and beautifully done.
Beautiful set, and belated Happy Birthday Sylvia!

We stayed a few days at the Lakeside Hotel on the shores of Lake Windermere for my birthday. We were fortunate on the day that once the mist cleared we had blue skies and no rain, the rest of our stay was very wet and windy. More blue skies in part 2.
The hotel was originally a 17th century Coaching Inn and was used as a staging post and resting place for travellers, who worked in the thriving cotton trade of Lancashire and Yorkshire in the 1900s. Guests stayed here en route to local businesses such as the bobbin mills in the area.

A fantastic set of images!!!!! Sylvia
Really nice photos - especially those that include the mist. I hope you had a terrific birthday, Sylvia.
Beautiful images Sylvia - what a great travelogue! Well done, and thanks for sharing.
I am chuckling while posting this but I have to tell you I love when you go on vacation/holiday because you submit some of the most incredible photographs of the area. These photographs are no exception. You truly are a gifted photographer and I like seeing your photos. I am somewhat disappointed you did not submit a photograph of a meal, maybe a scrumptious breakfast with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, toast with Scottish marmalade and so on; coffee of course.

Lovely photos, Sylvia. What a great way to commemorate your birthday. The photos also brought back memories of me being in that part of England from a long time ago.
You did all of these so right, Sylvia. A lot of people are always a bit off on the contrast thusly lessening the aesthetics and ambiance of the picture as a whole. If these were to be hanging on a gallery wall. People would stay longer at each photo pondering the effect each one makes upon them. I have seen some very good photos like these on UHH and elsewhere, but none as good as yours!

Love the foggy scenes, sometimes Lake Erie provides us with some fog along our shore.
The contrast of the red boat with the gray is wonderful .I especially like the one of the dock with people. Thanks for sharing.
