I was going to post this sequence on facebook and when I clicked post on facebook it immediately closed down and disabled my account. I didn't know a bald eagle sequence would have that kind of effect on facebook. After dealing with facebook about this I've come to realize that facebook is really run by Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

There not nests. they are muskrat mounds. Eagles use them for nest material.

Very interesting sequence and wonderful shots.

Recently watched a PBS show about eagles and part of the program covered younger eagles that miss out on tree sites and build nests like this one. Unfortunately, due to predators, eaglets rarely make it out of these low land nests.
