Shots from the last week or so,struggeld with it for a start but I think Im getting there( thanks Paul) its a vast improvment on the 550 D I had before. The foal was one week old, had to shoot through the bars. if I could have got the full mares head in it would have been a cracker

Nice looking photographs!! It gets me to wondering if I should upgrade my 7D2 to the 90D. I’m kind of waiting for Canon to produce a full sized MILC in the aspc format. I bet you like that 90D

You will find that with those dense tiny pixels it gives great detail but is very sensitive to motion blur from any camera movement that isn't over come by a high shutter speed. I am thinking of relegating mine to tripod and esp. table top macro work with a geared head I get so many frames that need to be deleted from motion blur. Now I am 76 and a bit unsteady at times holding a camera with long lens. Someone younger or a "human tripod" will probably love it under all circumstances.

I have talked myself out of the 90D over the 80D - even tho I would appreciate the 10FPS, the blur and noise are turning me off.

I usually keep my 80D on the tripod with my Tamron 150-600 G2 for shooting the back yard birds. My 7DII is usually teamed with my 100-400L mk2 or 70-300L and pistol grip for walkaround and my 5DIV with either a 14mm f/2.8, 24-105L f/4, or my 50 f1.8 for indoor, landscape and low light work. The 90D I keep trying with different lenses but I think it will end up with a macro on a tripod with geared head for macro work where I can use a remote and mirror lockup. If they bring out the rumored R7 or a 7DIII I think the 90D becomes trading material.
