Our Last Good View

We recently moved into a new home in Georgia. One of the things we liked was our view of a small lake. This morning we will have a wood fence installed, as we have a dog, and life is easier with a backyard fence. The only type of fence allowed here is a 6 foot wood fence……hence the title, Our Last Good View.

Can you reconsider where to place the fence? Maybe in a side yard instead of in your view?

Thanks for your response…I believe the benefits will out weigh the negatives. There will be other views, just not the same ones.

We now have what I believe the travel biz calls a partial lake view. It is a better view than I had expected to have. We are happy and so is our dog.

I think the underground dog fence is the answer, my neighbor has one and it preserves his view and works great.

Put in an electric fence and keep your view. We have never had either of our mastiffs challenge the invisible fence in over 18 years.

Maybe make a mural (really big one!) and attach it to the inside of your new fence??

We too have restrictions in our mountain home area and I understand there need. We chose the electric fence and it absolutely works. If from the moment it is installed you follow exactly what the trainer says to do, the dogs will not cross the line. I can pm info on the company we chose if interested.
