Well actually it is a domestic "Crested Duck". One of the many varieties of white domestic ducks from the area of SE Asia. And now they are among the many types of domestics gone feral and living in parks etc. all over the world.

Canon 90D, Canon 70-300L @ 300, 1/2000 @ f/6.3, ISO-250
hand held at about 20', open sky and early afternoon sunlight

Trim the nose hair, clean the beak ... hair is fine, gals love that hairdo... What??? Does he use "Hinna rinse" like the 1950 gray hair ladies used... turned their hair blue... Yuck

robertjerl you captured the image well, whites and off-white are difficult to catch.

Thanks I deleted a ton of frames with duck shaped blown out parts. The sun was bright and the duck didn't stay in the shade.

Recently there was a UHH question of "What happened to HDR" this is a great argument for HDR.

Doesn't work well when the subject is mobile. If I go back and (s)he is napping I might try it.
