I’m looking to upgrade to a d810 or d850. I have some used equipment sitting around and wanted to see if there was any interest. If so I’ll be more than happy to send pictures etc.

If I might make a suggestion - upgrade to a Z6 or Z7 (I or II) The mirrorless systems are terrific and newer technology.

I’m toying with that idea too. I just have a ton of nice fmount lenses. Any info on how the f mount adapter does on the z cameras?

By most accounts all the more recent auto focusing Nikon lenses work fine with the FTZ adapter. I think you can read specifics on the Ken Rockwell website.

The adapter works great with the Z system. There are not two adapters. The work exactly the same, however the latest one has a better design. They usually come at a steep discount when buying a new camera from Nikon.
Also, for the most part, the new S line lenses are superior to the matching F mount lens. Are they earth shaking differences, not really, but they are upgrades over the F mount lenses.

“F5” not “D5” a long time ago in a distant galaxy I used to shoot film. Talked to keh yesterday my d800 and my f5 would be about an even trade for a d810. A small upgrade for nothing out of pocket.

I bought the Z 6 and an FTZ but I heard the adaptor didn't work with adjustable earlier lenses so I had to buy the Z lens. I'm interested in the F5. What are you asking for it?

Been reading about the ftv adapters. They are definitely a plus for
Mirrorless but still eliminate legacy lenses. I think I’ll stick with mirrored for a while. Still hoping Nikon comes out with a replacement for the d850.
Anyway I think a fair price for the f5 would be $300 and I’ll include shipping. It’s a us version I’m the original owner. No boxes or manuals.
