Went to Goose Pond, Indiana today and saw probably around 1000 pelicans. Took lots of photos. Here are a few of the photos. Thanks in advance for viewing.

Lovely set Richard. I wonder what the lump on their beak is...our Australian Pelicans don't have it..??

They grow them in the breeding season Ron to attract mates.

Absolutely lovely and in focus. The bumps on the beaks, I believe, are sexually
selected structures for mate attraction, and only are there in breeding season.
