Zelenskyy for President.
Has shown stronger leadership and fortitude than any US president I have seen in my lifetime.
A couple of days ago he said that Russia wasn't going to attack Ukraine. It was obvious to anyone with half a brain that an attack was fast coming.
Yesterday he said that he was going to stay in the capital building and work from there. That doesn't sound too smart to me. The capital building I think would be a prime target after the military targets were taken care of.
I think he is full of bluster and not too smart. Nope, I wouldn't want him for president. My choise is Nikki Haley

Easily said from a comfortable distance.
His actions are braver than most world leaders, who would have cut and run long ago.
Zelenskyy walks the walk.

LOL.... He is no coward and there is no stronger message that a leader could send right now to the Ukraine people than to set the example for the resistance by staying in place and leading the fight.... A US president would be in an underground bunker somewhere in Colorado, as if the US president is actually that important, I would rather have just about anyone leading us through such a trying time as the Ukraine currently faces other than Biden, that shows how little of importance a president can be... in our case, not much. Zelenskyy will always be remembered as an inspirational hero to democracies throughout the world should he not survive this fight.

I didn't say he was a coward and I don't think he is. But he could certainly say what he has said from some other place then a prime target. I agree that I wouldn't not Biden as a president should we be attacked like Ukraine has been.
I don't understand why NATO doesn't back Ukraine a little more than what they have been. True, Ukraine isn't a member of NATO but nether are Afghanistan, Syria and all the rest of the Middle East that we've been fighting for the past twenty years. NATO nations had no problem giving them a hand when needed. So why not Ukraine? They are closer to being our allies than any Middle East nation
The U.S. offered today to evacuate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy from his country. But Zelenskyy declined the offer and instead vowed to fight for his country. He said
"The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride. Glory to Ukraine."

The Russians don’t have a great track record of invading other countries - Afghanistan for example type .
They may Have once again been over confident.

I missed that. He sounds like a brave man. I think that proves he can talk the talk and walk the walk.
So what is Sleepy Joe doing about it? He's sitting in front of his television, wondering what to do and looking for someone, anyone for advice.

I think they made a mistake when they said anyone from eighteen to sixty five can be issued a gun and fight. The older people are the real patriots. Their reasoning is I've lived most of my life let me go out fighting for my country.

I agree. Even if they k**l him tomorrow ... his work is done, he lives on as the real deal inspiration to Ukrainians.

Let's not forget the mayor of Kiev either. He is armed and on the lines last I heard.
The Ukrainians got spunk.
Surely Russian forces will eventually prevail...but the shock and awe factor has not been produced. And I have read reports about outdated and not well maintained Russian equipment being a factor.
Wouldn't it be something if Ukraine kicks them out?

He offers hope to his people by staying there, how many more people stay in the fight drawing inspiration from their president? How many would leave if he were to exit the country into exile?
As far as why we are not involved, the reasons are 2, one is that Russia is a nuclear armed nation, a direct conflict between Russia and the United States is a very dangerous proposition, the second reason as hard as it is to watch it is not our war, we do not need to lose our sons and daughters defending the Ukraine.
